i Space with Marielle

Hello everyone, Marielle here and today it's my turn to share my creative space. As you will see it's not a pretty space but it is an organized one  . My "room" is in a corner of our unfinished basement and I dream of someday having a magazine worthy room and  it will be very girly, as I live in a house full of guys !

I used to keep my scrapbooking supplies in large Rubbermaid bins and I could never find anything  ,so one day after a visit to the hardware store, I put up this large peg board and organized a lot of my supplies.  Now it's so much easier to keep track of all of my supplies. My hubby asked me when the grand opening of my store was when he saw this !!

A few month's later , I put up a smaller peg board to organize my ever growing alpha collection.

I keep my Snag 'em stamps by collection on album rings on these pegs.

Ribbons are kept tidy on this re-purposed wire spice rack.

I keep all of my Imaginisce supplies together in this small paper cabinet, each shelf  holds a collection.

As I run out of room in the small cabinet, I place older collection in large Ziplock bags .

I got these wood cabinets at a hardware store ( I even put them together all by myself !!)

I keep cardstock, patterned paper (by manufacturer) ,albums and lots and lots of finished layouts that are waiting to be put into album !! The other cabinet holds boxed cards, wrapping supplies etc.

I bought an old desk at a garage sale and use it to scrap on. I keep my awesome Imaginisce tools in the first drawer.

The second drawer holds all of my i Rock bling ,stencils and my new
mini iron.

I use a lipstick organizer to hold my Glam Rock bottles.

Like many scrappers I keep my buttons by colors in small jars.

This island is a new addition  to my kitchen and I LOVE it. Every time I get a parcel from Imaginisce , I rip it open and spread everything out on this large surface !! I'm really like a kid at Christmas when that
Fed Ex guy comes to my door !!!

Well, that's it for me today, thanks for stopping by the Imaginisce blog. I hope you've enjoyed viewing my scrap space, I had fun sharing it with you .I have a few more photos to share on my blog and  a great giveaway too :)

Glue Gun Glow

Good Morning Imaginisce fans, Lydia here with a neat idea for your fireplace mantel or table, I was inspired by an idea that I saw on Pinterest and was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was. I first got a mason jar out of the cupboard and washed it, {although any kind of glass would work} then I wrote the word I wanted on a scrap piece of paper and placed it inside the jar.

Then turn on you i-bond, you want it to be nice and hot so the glue flows easily, and then glue\trace the word right onto the jar. The great thing about this is that if you mess up it is no big deal, while the glue is fresh it is easy to peel off.

Next find a left over paper towel roll and place your jar on it, this makes it easier to spray paint without getting it all over your hands. Choose a spray paint color and spray evenly around the jar.

Here is the end result and when I place a candle in it, it glows like an old fashion christmas light. Perfect for my holiday table.

I'm gonna give this a try with white for winter too! I'm thinking words like Joy and Peace!! So many possibilities! Thanks for stopping by
Lydia

Geek is Chic Release Party - Day 4

School's Out!!!
Well almost, as we come to the last day of our Geek is Chic Release Party!
We've had a wonderful time showing you all the fun projects you can whip up using our latest collection and from all the terrific comments you have left us, it seems as though everyone has enjoyed the week of inspiration.
A+ all round!

However, before the final bell rings, we need to wrap up with our last day of creations, so grab a glass of milk and an apple and sit back to enjoy one final round of projects from our design team!

Isn't this just the yummiest card from Courtney!

Courtney has created this clever card and in case you are wondering how she made the fabulous books... she used the Cricut Cartridge 'Wrap It Up'.

Rhonda has used the alternate sides to the Geek is Chic school theme papers and created this adorable layout about the love of her boys and their dad... too sweet!

Another fun layout from Rhonda and just look at those little brad daddies covered in the ruler paper... too cute!

This little man manages to put a smile on his mum's face at just the right time... such a gorgeous photo that just had to be scrapped!

Another little book worm... it's so nice to be able to scrap the little moments in a child's life... like the love of books and learning to read at five.

Sophia has made this gorgeous card and envelope set with the sweetest butterflies punched from the Geek is Chic ruler paper... we love it!

How is this for a fun way to jazz up a plain old pencil tin... add layers and layers of different paper strips!

Liz Qualman

Liz has created this fabulous apple mini album to document school days for her daughter.

Such a studious little gal with such a cute smile!

A school notebook doesn't have to be plain and boring, Liz has totally revamped this little book to make it something worth showing! We love it!

Melinda's has given herself a blister by sharpening an entire row of pencils to create a fun element to this layout of her son's year at kinder.

And how about an apple for the teacher... Melinda has filled a clear container with Jaffas and dressed it up to look like an apple. She has even used her Cricut to cut out the leaves and stem. Yummy!

GIVE-AWAY
So there you have it! A week of projects from our design team to show-case our Geek is Chic collection.
So who would love to win their very own sample pack of this latest new product?
All you have to do is tell us what inspiration you've gained from this week's projects and what you would love to make using the Geek is Chic range?

Geek is Chic Release Party - Day 3

Have your ever stopped to think about your children going off to school... we nurture them so much before sending them off into the big wide world and then never really get to see what they do for the time they are away gaining their education. I would love to have video footage of my children at school, but that's not really the done thing, however I'm very fortunate as our school principal is a photo-maniac and has the camera out most days. At the end of the year we recieve a disc full of wonderful photos of school life, sitting at their desks, eating their lunch, playing outside, art activities, sports, excursions, making cubby houses, digging in the vegetable garden. Priceless memories that I'm truly grateful to have. So sometimes its nice to be able to say thankyou to a teacher for going that extra step in making our child's school days special and memorable. What better way than present that special teacher with a gift to say thanks!

Shemaine Smith

By using the black and white photo of her son's graduation day, Shemaine has really kept the photo as the main focus whilst allowing the colours to really pop right off the page.

A very sweet double page layout of Shemaine's daughter learning the art of reading... clever girl!

Erin Bassett

How good does the teal background look on Erin's back to school layout. Compliments the die-cut title perfectly!

Who says pennants are just for waving... this pennant card is such a super cute idea!

Erin is our resident doily fan and she loves to use them as often as she can... this card is no exception as the doily has been misted in a metalic brown finish to tie in with the 'U Rule' Snag 'Em Stamp, and how cute is that little bell tied on with the Baker's Twine.

A totally wonderful idea... revamping a an old pencil box!

Frances Sylvia

Frances has created this wonderful layout about the transition from one school to another, definitely a hard time in any child's life but certainly a moment to capture and remember!

Such an adorable layout of three little people heading back to school!

Penny Smith

Penny has used lots of white space to draw focus to all the right places and the photo certainly doesn't get lost, its a wonderful image of her boys heading back to school.

Another great use of space and how adorable is that 'confetti - all over the page punch'.

Another day of inspiration and wonderful projects using the new Geek is Chic collection. So now that you have ideas floating around you are going to need your own product and today we are giving away yet another sample pack of Geek is Chic... who wants to win? Well all you have to do is leave a comment on today's post telling us which is your favourite Snag 'Em Stamp from the Geek is Chic collection which you can view HERE and we will choose one lucky follower to recieve their very own sample pack of Geek is Chic.

Winner will be announced at the end of the week!
